Scheduling topics to publish in the future
Plugin version 6.3 added a new feature for scheduling topics to be published in the future. It is easy to use, and it has only a few settings. One enabled, the feature is by default, available to keymasters and moderators, and it will appear bellow the topic content inside the form.
To enable the feature, open the ‘Features’ panel, find Schedule Topic feature, open it, and you will see the options.
If the schedule topic form can be displayed (based on the user role), it will look like this:
You can choose to schedule the topic and select the future date to be published. That’s it. But, you need to know a few things first:
- Once scheduled, topics will not appear on the topics lists. Each user can see their own scheduled topics through the ‘My Scheduled Topics’ view, and you can enable this view from the ‘Custom Topic Views’ feature panel.
- Scheduled topics can’t and will not appear in any normal topics list or view, except this ‘My Scheduled Topics’ view!
- It is recommended to enable this feature only for keymasters and moderators, and avoid giving it to participants to avoid issues with abuse of the publishing.
