This is the most important subpage, because options are used for direct control over some of the sweeper’s behavior.

Database Optimization

This group of settings controls the Optimize Database sweeper. You can set the limits for the optimization detection, and by default, this sweeper will only show tables with 40% fragmentation or more, and only if these tables are 6 MB in size or more. Fragmentation for small tables is hard to control, so it is not useful to do it at all, but it should be done for larger tables.

And the plugin has 3 different methods actually to run the optimization, and you can pick the method you want to use here. It is best to enable the OPTIMIZE method, but if that doesn’t work well enough, try the other two methods. The other two methods can be a better solution depending on the server type (MySQL, MariaDB…) and server setup.

Number of days to skip

Many sweepers use these options, and they are essentially telling the sweeper to skip the most recent data from removal. For example, if you take into account the Auto Draft sweeper and have number of days to skip set to 7, the sweeper will only remove auto drafts that are older than 7 days.

This subpage contains various settings for the plugin performance control.

Performance Settings

From this panel, you hide the notices about the Backup and Metadata displayed on various SweepPress panels as a reminder that all removals are final. Unless you have the backup, you can’t change your mind after the removal is done.

This settings subpage has only two options for enabling or disabling WP-CLI and REST API modules. If you need to sweep via WP-CLI or REST API, you should enable one or both options here. If not, leave them disabled.

CLI & REST API Settings

Here, you also have options to enable Log File use for Sweeper Queries. And, you have option to enable Admin Bar menu integration, with additional settings related to the menu contents.

More Features Settings

Finally, from here you can enable or disable the Auto and Quick Sweeping boxes from the dashboard.

Daily and Weekly monitor features have few options that you can control from this subpage. Both monitors (Daily and Weekly) have Threshold settings, and if the total number of records and size is reached, the monitor will be triggered.

Few options on this subpage are used to enable some advanced options available for the Database panel: Truncate and Drop database tables.

Meta & Options

Added in version 5.0, this new settings pge is dealing with the metadata and options management features. There are two groups of settings. First one deals with the usage monitoring for the metadata keys and options.

And, second group of settings is related to the Metadata and Options panels and some of the optional features.
