WooCommerce integration settings

WooCommerce integration with User Reviews Addon is controlled with the settings on the WooCommerce settings panel, available only if the WooCommerce plugin is active on the website.

Activate Integration

This panel has main settings for the WooCommerce integration, and it starts with the option to enable Reviews Integration.

To start the integration process, make sure Reviews Integration is enabled. Disabled Default Reviews option should be also enabled, so that plugin can remove default WooCommerce reviews system. If this option is disabled, you will have both default WooCommerce and new User Reviews reviews active, and that is not recommended.

Last option will include an option to order products in the Shop by rating. If you are using Multi Stars/Slider Rating methods, and you have enabled Settings Rule Filters in GD Rating System Pro (and this is disabled by default), this option will always be disabled, and the order by rating can’t be used. If the Settings Rule Filters are disabled, then you can use order by rating regardless of the rating method you use.

Reviews Controls

By default, all users can leave the review for WooCommerce products. But, if you prefer it, you can limit that to verified customers that have purchased the product they want to review. There are two options for this, as displayed on the next image.

If the first (Allow verified owners only) option is enabled, only users that have purchased the product can leave the review for that product. The second option (Show verified owners badge) will display ‘Verified’ badge next to the user username and avatar showing that that user has purchased the product reviewing.

Rich Snippets Support

Google Rich Snippets (and some other search engines use them too) can be very important when running the shop, and User Reviews and GD Rating System Pro support adding of rich snippets to all products, with the bonus of including the review ratings along with the products.

GD Rating System Pro has very advanced rich snippets system that allows defining new snippet types. To make the work with WooCommerce here easier, User Reviews addon will add new Snippet type for Product with an auto-fill of data based on the product information already stored in WooCommerce. Default settings for Rich Snippets, as displayed on the image above are the best way to proceed with this and make sure snippets are added properly. If you decide against adding snippets, just turn off the Embed Rich Snippet option. If you disable Embed Rich Snippet option, WooCommerce will still add own rich snippet!

Also, make sure to fill in the Default Brand Name. If that is not filled, the plugin will use a website name as a brand name.
