Hello, I just installed the plugin and have the “Topic and Reply Deleting -> Attachments Action” set to Delete. I have Authors and Administrators set to “Allow both delete and detach.”

I’ve made some sample forum posts with image attachments and then deleted them using the Trash button and/or editing the post and deleting the image and then resaving the post… When I view the contents of the upload folder, those test images are still there though. Is there something else I must do to enable this feature or am I misunderstanding how this feature works?

Thank you,
Tim

Attachments Action are added to each attachment on the front end so that admins/users can remove attachments. What you need for when the topic is removed is the option on the main Settings plugin panel ‘Topic and Reply Deleting’.

    Milan,

Thank you for replying… I’m confused, are you saying I’m doing it correctly or not? I mentioned in my initial post I had that setting set to Delete.

Trashing the topic or reply doesn’t delete that topic and reply, so the attachments will not be removed. Once you trash topic or reply, you need to Delete it, and only them my plugin will remove the attachments associated.
