bbPress Topics show NOINDEX

Published on: May 1, 2017 at 10:59 pm · By: Corey Schmidt

Trying to figure out why NONE of my forum topic pages are being indexed by Google… I found the following lines on the source of one of the topic pages:

<meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,follow’ />
<meta name=”generator” content=”GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 4.6.4, Build 604″ />

I am also using Yoast SEO which is not affecting the noindex in any way.

Question is, how do I get the TOPICS to start showing up in Google?

Thanks, Corey

    GD bbPress Toolbox Pro has options for the Noindex of the topics and replies, but only for private topics or replies: Modules -> SEO -> Private Topics and Replies. This should not affect other topics, but I will check out to see if there is an issue with this. I will let you know tomorrow and will release an update if needed.

    Just as an FYI, I deactivated the GD bbPress Toolbox Pro plugin and the NOINDEX meta tag went away…

    I can now confirm this as a bug, and it will be fixed in the next minor update later tonight.
