Hi

Since I upgraded to GD RATING SYSTEM V 2.7.1 I got an error in the webmaster tool from google. It is: Not valid object type for field “itemReviewed”. How can I change that?

Google has changed how the rich snippets work, reviews can be included with only some rich snippet types. Articles, WebPage and similar can’t be used for review purposes. Pro version of the plugin has advanced rich snippet support with detailed implementation of snippets supported for review, and I plan that some elements of that bring into Lite version of the plugin next month.

Will it be possible in the new update or the pro version to have GD Rating with a link to news from google? Or will that be never possible again?

I am not sure what you mean by ‘like to news from google’, but in relation to snippets – Google is not using reviews anymore for rich snippets related to news, web pages or articles. It is simply ignored by Google, there is nothing any plugin for rich snippets can do about that. Reviews and ratings can be only part of the rich snippets like: Product, Book, Recipe, Applications and more, full list is linked in the blog post I have linked previously.
