Hi,
is there any integration with the UAM plugin (User Access Manager) as I would guess this is the problem. UAM file protection enabled.
Upload file works!
File is in /uploads/… folder!
File shows up in Media Library! but no preview pic
BUT
admin can not access it on front end
uploader can not access it on front end
Is there a way to define a dedicated folder for these attachments underneath ‘/uploads’ to use a separate .htaccess file for them?

I never used that plugin, and I am not sure what can be the problem. I can take a look when I get some free time.
