Hello there,
I recently updated my websites using GD bbPress Tools for your awesome quote feature, and I encounter an issue :

– All previous quote continue to work in my forum
– but when I click on the quote button, the site scrolls to the forum post (as it did in the past), but no quote is added ?

Is it a chance this issue is a bug from your last version of GD bbPress Tools ?

Note : I chose the wordpress version 6.5.2 in your form because I didn’t see 6.5.3, but I am actually on 6.5.3. Sorry if I missed it.

Hmmm, this is strange. I did few tests, and there was indeed an error in the JavaScript code that caused the problem. Can you try to clear the cache (if you use cache plugin, or on server for static cache, and in browser) to try and force loading of updated JS file?

Hum. I tried on 2 sites :

– one with cache (manually cleared just after the plugin update)
– one without cache (on a private windows to prevent any browser cache)

Result is the same in both case (like you can see in the loom) : nothing happens after the movement ?

(Note : I update my website every month and use this feature every day, so I am pretty sure something must have broken this feature in the last ~45 days).

What plugin are you using to enable TinyMCE editor?

==> I notice 1 difference with last “working” version I was using :

– Now : When quoting multiple parts of a message, the user is redirected to the response textfield each time
– Previously : He was redirected to the response textfield for the first quote only, and could then add multiple other quote without being redirected

This previous behavior was especially useful to “prepare” long anwsers (by quoting all the subscriber’s questions first, and only then going to the response to answer them).

Is that something you could enable again ?
Do not hesitate if my description is not clear. I can make a video ?

That was a bug really. But, I can add this to the list to implement in the future properly.
