I am loving this plugin, thanks for creating this! I have one problem though and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong … but my rich snippet isn’t showing for ratings – Here’s a product page : https://www.scentswarmers.com/buy/scentsy/peach-white-amber

Rich Snippet is added for single posts/pages only inside the main loop. But, from the structure of your page, this detection has most likely failed. Without detailed debugging, I can’t say what that happens, but considering you are using Visual Composer, I am not surprised (this plugin is known to cause a lot of issues to WordPress normal page loop and normal WordPress query object).

The only thing you can try is to disable both options in the ‘Additional Settings’ on the ‘Rich Snippets’ settings panel.

I think it’s more marketpress ecommerce for my store than the visual composer.. I just barely started using that and not for store pages at all. If I uncheck the boxes as stated above, it actually creates another product box instead of adding to the current one, which doesn’t work. https://www.scentswarmers.com/buy/scentsy/deer-wildlife-warmer

Sorry, I had to go back to kk star ratings, looks like it’s the only thing that will work with my store, marketpress.

Problem here is that Marketpress generates own rich snippet, and I will add to the roadmap support for that in one of the future plugin updates.

Hi, can you tell me if this is normal to have to product sections in rich snippet ? Instead of the ratings just being tagged on to the one? there’s no way to get the GD ratings to be in the product?

GD Rating System Pro 3.3 now has more powerful rich snippets implementation that allows you to configure rich snippets by specific type. But, you are using MarketPress plugin that implements own rich snippets, and they don’t have a way to expand them with ratings. Search engines can use ratings only if they are part of the rich snippet that has some wider scope, you can’t have only ratings included with no context, it has to be a rating for a product, or for the article or something else.

I am investigating ways to hook into MarketPress and add ratings only into their rich snippet, and I hope to have something done about that in the next 3.4 version.
