Tags: attachments images videos
HI,
I’m trying your plugin GD bbPress Attachments and GD bbPress Tools. What I like to have is not just the preview of the images or videos; I want to show under the post the attachments with the fullest. So, with your plugin, is it possible to show the full image at the bottom of the post? and if the attachments are videos, is it possible to show a player and play the videos?
Thank you in advance,
Enrico

With GD bbPress Toolbox Pro, attachments area can display attachments, and size of thumbnails there can be increased. But, due to the various limitations, that area can’t be used to display video or audio players. But, GD bbPress Toolbox Pro, for each attachment allows use of [attachment] shortcode to add attachment to the editor and to the content of the topic/reply, and that shortcode can render full image and can render audio/video players (if the video/audio file is playable).
I maybe able to explore more in the future, and maybe include these players inside attachments are, but right now, that can’t be done. Adding them in content can be done.

ParticipantMarch 7, 2022 at 4:02 pm #74548I have just bought the GD bbPress Toolbox Pro. I have some posts with attachments. I don’t find the way to automatically render the full images or play videos.
Can you give me more info about it, please?
Thank you in advance,

KeymasterMarch 7, 2022 at 5:42 pm #74549When you are writing new topic/reply and adding files, with each file you have option ‘insert into content’ that will add shortcode to content. If you already have topics/replies with attachments, if you go to edit topic/reply, you will see list of existing attachments, and again option to insert them into content. If the video/audio attachment can be embedded with player, plugin will attempt to do so.
